Our Version Media is on a mission to combat the harmful negative Black narratives fuelled by the British media and press. We were founded in 2019 by a broadcast journalist (ex ITV regional news, ex BBC local radio) determined to change the narrative. We amplify Black voices by teaching individuals digital media and journalism skills to tell and share their own, authentic stories. We are purposefully empowering Black communities to rightfully reclaim the narrative of stories told about them. Here’s how you can join us:
