Black Community Coverage Clinic

Struggling to raise awareness of your project or cause? Not quite sure how to tell your community’s story? Or do you want help to write a press release or promote your community event?

Our media survey of black people living in Southampton revealed that local media’s portrayal of black people left them feeling “Annoyed and frustrated”, “Like black people aren’t important”, “Unheard”, “Under-represented and invisible”, “Sad, misunderstood and stereotyped”. To address this, we’ve created our Black Community Coverage Clinic, to help the city’s black communities to tell and share their own stories.
