Mobile Storytelling courses
Our Mobile Storytelling courses combine community activism and mobile journalism skills to empower everyone to tell and share their stories using digital media. Participants learn skills to create, film and edit impactful videos using their smartphone. Learning covers: what makes a good story, crafting a compelling story, identifying the best shots to tell it, filming, editing, scripting, captions, voiceover and how to share online for a wide reach.
Our best-selling two-part workshop is delivered in-person or online over two half days. Learners make a video as part of the course. No filming or editing experience required.

Mobile Storytelling masterclass
Delivered in-house or online, this half-day masterclass will teach your employees professional digital media skills to showcase your organisation’s social impact. Community Reporter course
Our Community Reporter training teaches digital media and mobile journalism skills so people can film and share local stories. Individuals don’t need any prior filming, editing, or storytelling experience – they just need their smartphone! Community Reporters – aka citizen journalists – are ordinary people who are skilled in telling important and informative stories from their communities and neighbourhoods.
In this course, participants learn how to quickly and easily produce news-style reports. Learning covers: what makes a good story, identifying the best shots to tell it, media musts and must-nots, media regulations, news-gathering, filming and editing on smartphone, scripting, captions, presenting, and sharing your story on social media.

Roving Reporter workshop
This fun and interactive outdoor workshop is delivered at events, such as community fun days and festivals. Participants learn how to create coverage of events using their smartphone, just like a professional events reporter.
