The VER in Our VERsion Media

Southampton-born former broadcast journalist, Veronica Gordon, has 15 years’ media experience (including BBC local radio, Unity 101 community radio, ITV regional news and digital media). Alongside this, she has been working and volunteering in the city’s ethnically diverse communities for 15 years.

Veronica combined her journalism expertise and community activism to create Our Version Media. Its mission: to equip black – and other communities demonised by the press – with media skills to tell and share their own, authentic stories.

Veronica has been amplifying under-represented voices since 2005 when she founded Vibrant Vibes, Unity 101’s radio show for the city’s black communities. Veronica is also the presenter of Power To Change’s community business podcast, Then One Day.
